Who we are?

Dodder Valley Club is a community-led initiative rooted in the heart of Dublin’s Dodder riverbank. We exist to create a welcoming space where migrants and locals come together—celebrating diverse cultures, sharing sports and traditions, and building meaningful connections.

Our mission is to offer migrants a place to gather, express their heritage, and feel at home, while also fostering collaboration with the wider community. Through inclusive events, shared activities, and active engagement, we aim to strengthen social bonds and contribute to the development of a vibrant, united Dodder Valley.Whether you’re new to Ireland or have lived here all your life, Dodder Valley Club is a place where everyone belongs—and where every voice helps shape the future.

How We Do it

We gather every other week at Tymon Bawn Community Centre, Firhouse Road West, Tallaght, Dublin 24 — a welcoming space where families come together for 3–4 hours of connection, culture, and community care.

These gatherings offer a chance to:

• Reconnect with heritage through shared sports, celebrations, and storytelling

• Build new bonds with fellow families and neighbors

• Support integration into our Irish home, guided by senior member families and local groups

We also engage in neighborhood initiatives, such as cleaning up the Dodder River banks — fostering pride, responsibility, and visibility in our local area.

Twice a year, we host a semi-annual celebration that brings all members together to share cultural activities and cuisines from both our homelands and our new home — honoring where we come from and where we’re growing together.
